I know I need to put fliters on all my lenses.

Is the 70-300 image stabilized? If not you need a bean bag

Yes it is. Edited post to reflect that. LOL

Actually a bean bag is really useful anyway. Much more stable than a tripod, with no resonant frequency. One of the many items I'm currently acquiring.

Do you have any idea how easy it is to make a bean bag? I have made them for shooters. Cost is about $1.50. At least here.

OK Nancy, you're on. I bought one made in Australia for $$$$$, but don't have it yet. I can think of several people here who'd buy one if you were to make some and bring them with you. The fabric and stitching need to be very strong and flexible, and the fill mustn't degrade in our warm moist climate.

LOL I was thinking real beans. That wouldn't work there. Nor for cameras I guess. I think their about $25 US here.

I think they use fairly hard non-absorbent polystyrene pellets. I reckoned that if they work in Australia in northern Queensland they'll work in Belize.

They should. I'll have to have a look at the show and see how their made. I'm pretty crafty and they don't look like they would be that hard to make. And I could customize them too.
