Good evening to all,

Thank you in advance for any assistance that you may be able to provide. We have 8 people coming down from the States for Spring Break (03/20- 03/27) parents ages late 40's and siblings are 14 & 16 (x2) years old. Thinking about Banyon Bay - any feedback? Parents are laid back and want a "fun" enviroment, children are self supportive (more or less) - Thanks again -

Sunbreeze would be great for this mix of folks -- close to everything.

Haven't heard anything bad about Banyon, but partial to Sunbreeze for groups. Banana Beach would also be good.

You'll get good feedback here from people with even more experience -- have a great time!!!

I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.

Banana Beach, Xanadu or The Palms may be good choices. All have condo type units with several bedrooms, pools. The Palms is closer to town. Banana Beach has a great restaurant on site. Blue Tang Inn or Exotic Caye may also work. Depends on price range and what you are looking for as far as on site amenites & atmosphere. Or maybe a more private house type setting like Casa Caracol (a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom unit). Normally I would recommend Banyan Bay as well but they are currently having some "issues" - not sure how service will be (do a search here for more info). Sunbreeze is great and good location but only allows 3 max in the rooms, could be hard with families.

We stayed at Xanadu in Oct. Great location. Close enough for a stroll on the beach to town, far enough to be quiet. Good amenities for teens; free bikes, free kayaks, good snorkeling pier, great pool. There is also a really nice grilling area out by the beach for guest.

The staff is very good and they take good care of the guest. No bar or restaurant on site (they do have beer, softdrinks and snacks). There are lots of eateries within a short walk and several grocery stores. All units have kitchens.

You are in the right place for advice. Ask lots of questions or just do lots of reading here, you'll enjoy the visit more with some heads up and not miss the best places.

The Palms is great for a group that size, near town for the younger ones, and a great beach.

Again, it's not my personal unit, but the 3-bd at Miramar is huge and could easily accomodate everyone, assuming that spending that much time together is what you are looking for.

I'd try for the 2'nd floor corner ocean front rooms at the Banana Beach. There not that far apart but yet not next to each other. Corner rooms get a nice breeze. Have fun.

Banyan Bay is nice, good restaurant, good size beach and pool. Two miles from the downtown core (rent a golf cart) or walk (I lost 5 lbs during my stay). Be prepared to pay $250 US for electricity for the week.

The great part about The Palms when there are teenagers is that is is close enough to town that they can safely walk home. I would be especially concerned with being close if I has teenage girls. It makes a huge safety difference even though all the other condo resorts mentioned are wonderful.
