How do you get Sam's Club membership (at Chetumal)? Do you just turn up and fill in a form, or do you have to meet nationality or residence requirements?

Just fill out the form and pay 35 usd (about). Really easy

so if a fat gringo wanted to take a trip to chetumal and go to sams and buy say 2 cases of mac and cheese, what kind of problems would i have bringing it back in to belize?

The market down the street from Los Cocos is cool, ( and huge...you could spend a couple days there) and if you are going to Sam's Club, take a walk around the Navy yard/marina. Chetumal Bay is pretty.
