We are taking our first trip to AC 3/24/01.
Are beaches public...are some private?
Also can you dine and drink at any resorts' facilities?

The beaches are all public, despite what some resort owners might say, following the Queen's Right of Way. Most resorts have bars and restaurants at which you can dine and imbibe in the local "flavors". In fact, many people like myself who occasionally rent golf carts are forced to stop at each such establishment to constantly add more fuel; and while we're at it...

Mazullo...ever been to Grand Lake in NE Okla. that's where we live. Lots of people from Wichita are weekenders here. You have really been helpful. Thanks.

You can dine and drink at all the resorts. That's their business. All beaches are public. It's just like Hawaii, no one owns the beach. You can't drive a golf cart on most of it...but that's the only restriction. You can walk or ride a bike on all of them.

I've not been to Grand Lake, but occasionally spend some time farther south, at Tenkiller. But I prefer going even farther south, say, to Belize...
