They are poor and children make fun of Zulaika because of her worn-out uniform and of not being able to pay school tuition. Her grandmother gives credit to her clients, although the family store does not run profits. Situation becomes even worse when the grandmother suffers a heart attack. Overcoming the situation will require much persistence from Zulaika.
