Hi

My wife and I are coming down on Dec 29th. We are first timers. A couple of friends of ours are also trying to make the same flight (but they are on standby right now).

It just so happens that the 29th is also going to be my wife's 40th birthday. Since we do not get there until that afternoon, I would like to pre-arrange a nice dinner for her, with a birthday cake, and maybe some decorations (if this is possible).

We are staying at the Royal Palm Villas. Is there a nice restaurant nearby that might be interested in setting this up for us?? She loves sea food (well ... lobster and prawns anyway).

I am also open to any other ideas that you may have?? I just want to make her 40th something special!!

Thanks
Dino

The restaurant at Royal Palm has just reopened under the fine management of Duane, formerly of Island Cusine and later, Duanes Surf and Turf. He could do a fine job for you. Contact him through Royal Palm.

I was going to spend my 40th down there in November, but postphoned trip until May due to hurricaine. Never been there, but I heard about Capricorn. Supposed to be good, but expensive. But, 40th is a milestone, so go for it!

Before you go off and buy black coral, please be aware it is an endangered species and if customs notices you have black coral products, they will be confiscated and you could get fined. It's kind of like bringing ivory back from africa.

Hi, we live just south of Victoria House. We love Capricorn, and it is sooo romantic for a special evening, but would also recommend you ck out Victoria. It is lovely and secluded. It is also very close to the Royal Palms which might be convenient for you. Lovey

How about renewing your vows...?
I think that might be the best present ever, especially if she is a real emotional person such as myself.
Have no idea about time constraints or laws, I just know I would enjoy it TOTALLY.

For a special birthday treat you may want to look into taking her over to the mainland to Maruba Jungle Spa. It's a present she won't forget. We both go over there for a day on every trip we can. Wherever you stay can set it up. Recommend the massage and a mud pack.

La Margarita is nice also. Great food and drinks. Not far from you either.
