A year or more ago myself and a small group of friends visited and considered an offer on the Lazy Lizard property. We were told that the building had been constructed poorly, was "sinking" and had been "condemned". The cost of the development was too great due to the "requirement" of destructing and hauling away this "condemned" building on site.

Now I visit last week to see a sign hanging for this same building advertising the "new" condos for sale. Some construction had been done to the old building but no workers were there at that time.

The question is, was my initial information about this building incorrect?

I have attempted to contact the seller through the advertised email with no response.

Lazy Lizard property was purchased by a Canadian couple from Montreal late 2008.

Spoke with the owner today. He reports having the building inspected by "his" engineer and that it is on a solid foundation.

The new owner seems nice.

I plan to meet with him hopefully soon.

I still would like to have input from any locals who have knowledge of the original construction of this building.
