If you, the cart and the road are in good shape - all of them.

Three weeks ago you could safely get to about 3/4 mile south of Captain Morgans.

Sunday there were 6 golf carts up at Robles point. I know the rental agencies do not want you to drive that far north. If you get stuck they have to come get you for a $$price$$. I do recommend you take a can of insta flat if you plan on going much past Portafino, water, and a sense of adventure.

i personally tried twice. once (august) we got up to portofino (about 4 mi). the next time (nov), we got seriously stuck just north of White Sands (2.5 mi).

there ya go.

I had a run on my dirt bike up to El Pescador on Saturday and the road sucks badly past 2 miles. Grand Caribe has been maintaining the road up to their development which is just south of 2 miles.

Anyone made it to Capt. Morgans recently? I will be there in 2-weeks and wanted to rent a cart.

Why don't the golf cart company's and the resorts get together
and do some semi-serious freeway repairs. Seems like they would both benefit hugely. It may also lower the cost of the island ferry to a more believable cost. Also, any new construction of resorts could chip in for this too.

We drove from here (Rojo, 5 1/2 miles north) South on Sunday to The Lazy Croc... road was not too bad as it's been dry. Drove north yesterday... between La Perla and Portofino gets pretty darn rough but it's passable... would be a different story after a rain. The real determining factor is certainly weather/rain... Filling with red/clay dirt right near Captain Morgan's was not a great idea... if wet = huge quagmire.

We went as far as Belize Legacy and it was a bumpy ride.
