We have previously stayed on AC 5 times. We made the choice to go to Caye Caulker this year to enjoy a slower pace. We were also hoping to have a shorter trip to the atolls for some diving.
Well...it was windy and cool-so no trips to the atolls. The diving at the local reefs was mediocre (wind=only fair viz).
Don't get me wrong; the worst day on vacation is ALWAYS better than the best day at work. It it was a wonderful trip.
Absolutely the high point was dinner out at Habaneros!
It was our 19th anniversary and I had the seafood ravioli. They were to die for!
Does the chef ever check out this site? And if so could I beg, plead for the recipe to try to recreate it at home?

Habaneros is the best (in my mind) restaurant on the island. Roy (the chef) is top notch and his food is always excellent. The service is always above and beyond and we would also highly recommend it to anyone. They seem to be in thr process of setting up a website of their own if you wanted to contact them regarding recipes. I don't know if they would share, but you can ask. You can also email them for reservations I believe.
