I know this topic has been discussed here before but would a few of you locals mind telling me what the average cost of electricity would be for a concrete structure about 1,400 sq/ft running the A/C most all the time?

I'm guestimating about $1000BZ/month

My guess would be about 6-700bz per month, if the house is well insulated.

Our bill runs $5-600 BZ per month. We keep the thermostat at 78 degrees and we have excellent hurricane rated windows and doors. They make all the difference. If they leak, you are cooling all of San Pedro.

Tommy - when we have had folks in our place full-time w/ AC on, it has run right at $1000BZ per mo. I'm not sure how a condo compares to single-family home, but it is not quite 1400 sq ft. Good guess, JZB!

I would guess in the middle of summer, it may cost a bit more.

In comparison, w/ folks there full-time in the winter w/ minimal AC usage, it is more like $400BZ per mo.

My electric bill here in vegas is close to $700 US in mid summer... I guess San Pedro would save me some money. More ammo for convincing the wife to move ASAP.
