How much is the income tax on profits shown by a Belize business?

I was recently told 1.5% is this accurate?

1.75% is the usual Business Tax (Income Tax on Business).
It's a GROSS RECEPITS tax - not assessed on profits.
Payable monthly with nasty fines if you are late.

professions are charged at a higher rate and that rate varies by profession.
