Peter, I tried to pm you but it's full. Here is the big picture you may be able to help me with. I came into possession of a scuba tank and the gear. I believe it may be stolen and would like to find out if possible. If I took good pics or just got the numbers off the tank could the rightfull owner be identified? I'm to transfer the equipment Monday morning to the one who claims ownership. Oh, what to do? The person who I'm to return it to was arrested in L.A on Feb.16,09 on a robbery charge and is out on $50,000. bond. That is Booking No.;1805302
Danny, how the hell did you get in this mess? At least make the guy provide you with SN#'s, but as said before, contact your local police and and give them the info. Maybe you can help with a "sting" operation. Take care and don't get stupid!!!!!!!!!

Lots of stolen stuff gets reported. I had a parachute system stolen. A fellow jumper was at the swap meet and saw my gear for sale for $50 a week later. He found the reserve packing data card and called me. We went to the swap meet with the cops. I got my gear back. They also found a bunch of stolen tools, ID #'s were collected and they found the guy they belonged to also. So go to the local cops and tell them what's going on.

That's quite a bit of very specific info ya got there, detective Danny. When does he arrive?

Skippy, I'm not a detective and I'm not a cop. Rob who was charged with burglary, is here and does not arrive. I'm house sitting and at first was to allow Rob to pick a Milwaukee dolly truck model 60136 which is brand new and which is here. That at first was all. There is a lot of stuff here. Now he says the scuba stuff is his and the porter cable skill saw, the beeman pelet rilfe with scope and the five pack cordless power kit in the gray aluminum box. The owner says to give him what he says is his but do not let him over. I made tentative plans to meet him someplace to be decided Monday morning with those items. I'm really thinking about gps hidden in one of the items and letting it go at that. No muss, no fuss.
