Everything he ever said is a lie...in my mind, he is guilty of this and much much more. Only need to look at Minnesota public records to see some examples.

I wasn't defending Jim Jensen - I was stating and clarifying a few facts that people get confused about.

Jim's wife, Jan, passed away unexpectedly (I believe it was related to food poisoning) about a year ago....

I don't think anyone here, in Minnesota, Seattle, or in PG who has had any interaction with this guy is confused about anything about him.

Food poisoning???????

This is Jan's sister-in-law. Jan did have an "untimely" death, and I can tell you that it was NOT from food-poisoning. There was some bleeding on the brain. Unfortunately, MRI equipment was not readily accessible and a cause for the event could never be determined. I have my own thoughts on how it could have happened, but nothing that I could express publicly on the blog. While I don't wish ill-will to anyone, I can say that I am thankful for the courageous individuals who filed a criminal complaint. There is information in the public domain that this is not the first case of fraud by Mr. Jim Jensen, but I can only "hope" that it will be the last.

Could she been transfered to a hospital that did? how about to the US?

Minnesota Mom - I sympathize with your loss - this news must bring back the pain and memories of losing Jan again.

I can tell you that Jan managed to make many friends during her brief time in Belize and a lovely memorial service was held in her honour.

Does anyone on here from Belize personally know Jim?

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, our hearts will remain heavy forever with the loss of Jan. We had a memorial service in MN with the family as it wasn't feasible for us to come to Belize. I am glad to hear the service was nice. She deserved nice - and more. Is it true that she was portrayed as a nucelar physicist from Chernoble?
