Is there a company on SP that sells boats or should I buy a Boat on the mainland or in the US, and drive it to Belize? What woudl be my best option and what kind of hull should I get.

Do you know roughly how much the used boats run.

how long is a piece of string-you will have to come down look at the boats and make an offer on the one that suits your needs-added to this call James-the message board is now useless for you-go the people who have boats

How long is a piece of string? Twice the distance from the centre.

"What kind of hull" you should get totally depends on what you want to do with it. If you're going to be inside the reef and calling at lots of dock you want a shallow V with minimal draft. If you'll be going outside the reef and want stability in rough seas get a much deeper V. The ONLY way for you to answer your question is to come here and see what people use for which applications.

I know used boats currently on sale in San Pedro ranging from US$3000 to US$75000, and there are probably others outside that range. What do you want the boat for?

My wife and I want a boat for going from the Westside on AC to SP and to the Blue Hole as well as Caye Chapel. Anything inside of the reef we will use a kayak easier and cleaner for the reef. Just aslong as I do not hit the reef with the paddles.

Blue Hole and Caye Chapel are two VERY different trips. The boats that regularly make the trip to Blue Hole are 35+ ft with a minimum of two 200hp outboards or diesel engines. The Blue Hole trip from San Pedro isn't really considered "recreational". With a 23-30ft V-hull or skiff, you can go to Caulker, Chapel, Long Caye or even Turneff North - Blue Hole is whole different animal, in my humble opinion.

You're looking at a serious boat then. Expect to pay US$100k or more, with a lot of money for maintenance. And you'll need a crew.
