lovey and thurston Offline
The Southside Ambergris Caye Neighborhood Watch is putting together a cookbook for a fund raiser. We hope to have the book together in another month or so. It will be for sale here on the island, but I would like to see if anyone in the States might be interested. If there is sufficient interest, I will keep a supply there for shipping. Please let me know if you might like one and I will try to have some available.
It will contain some Belizian recipes, but not all. They will be recipes with ingredients that can be purchased here. Thanks, Judy

I'd love a cookbook with local ingredients. Sounds great. If you don't want to ship it, and are willing to hang on to it, I'll pick it up next time we're on the island. Great idea.

Thanks everyone, We are not sure the exact date they will be ready, but hopefully in May. So far all the recipes I have been getting and typing up, look fantastic. Charlene has even promised us her recipe for her famous ham salad sandwiches she always has for our wakes. I think we are going to call that one "Dead Spread". Will keep you posted on the release date.

The SACNW is having an anniversay party on Sept. 16th. Will have the books available to the public after that date. The cost for the book is $30BZ. There are 145 pages in the book. The Title is: "To Catch a Cook" and we think it turned out to be a great book. All proceeds will go to SACNW. Contact me if you would like one. Thanks, Judy

Hi everyone, My number here in San Pedro is 226-2869. I would be happy to meet you in town Niklauryn. Little Bird. I will be back in the States in Oct. and could then mail you a book. The book is not "all Belizean recipes" but there is a section devoted to some of the standards that visitors to Belize usually enjoy. Such as Stewed Chicken, conch fritters, empanada, fry jacks etc. My email is mernitz@att.net.
