I've been lurking awhile trying to plan my first diving/fishing trip to Belize and seeing these fares you all post are driving me crazy! Fares out of Chicago, ORD are over $500 -- I'm going to be checking back in regularly. Anything in $300 range and I'm all over it...

Anyway, I have a feeling I'll be around so just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the info. I've already learned alot here and can't wait for my first trip!

Hi Chidiver. I'm out of MSP and maybe with the exception of summertime, I'd jump all over any ticket at $500.

Ticket prices changed today and for the flights I have been monitoring, they dropped $11. Well, the one I really wanted jumped $160 but if I leave a day later, I can save the extra $11.

Couldn't resist any longer and booked a trip for May.

Tickets from Chicago and MSP are typically well over $500 and I've actually never seen them below $650. I've kept a good eye on them for years as my family is there.

Krefish is right, at $500 I'd say jump on purchasing the ticket if you want to visit Belize.

Fare on Cont from ORD-IAH-BZE: $500.95 for last week in June -- so you think that's good and I should buy it? Fares don't drop in Summer?

$500 is not bad from the midwest, considering it has been around $700 for over a year. ORD, STL, IND, MSP have all been high lately. If you are waiting for $300, you may be waiting a while, although you just never know if a sale is going to pop up. We jumped on those $258 sales on Delta back in October for our June trip, but that is the cheapest I have ever seen (and yes, we are kicking ourselves for not buying for more than one trip).
