Can anyone tell me what events are going on the weekend of Easter? I understand that it is a busy weekend in Caye Caulker.

Bear in mind that due to the fact there will be no alcohol sales on Good Friday and the holiday labor rates for Good Friday and Easter Monday are triple time and Holy Saturday is 2 1/2 times, there may be a number of businesses closed. There will be lots of folks enjoying the time off with their families.

There is usually a regatta or sailing race, lots and lots of Belizeans come from the mainland. Caye Caulker is like the Daytona Beach of Belize that weekend.

There will be a sailing regatta on Holy Saturday. All different classes. It will be great fun in the sun at Caye Caulker this weekend. Be sure to stop and get your BBQ and conch ceviche on the beach on Good Friday. I do believe that most places will have the grill fish on their menu for that day. Have and fun and safe Easter!!!

Sports Bar will be having a beach party with Sam Hamilton as live music entertainment on Sunday and Monday.

There will also be Drink specials and food specials at the Sports Bar. Don't forget Trivia Fri. and Sun. night.
