Amen.

I have all the same issues every time they "suspect" fraud...

And one other issue. I always pay in full to avoid F...charges. once I paid a penney OVER (not under) and the next month I was hit with finance charges for both months. The middleschool dropout explained that it was because "the system" throws any amount other than the amount due into the partial payment file, and interest starts from the start of the billing cycle.

Needless to say, after that was fixed I was very careful to pay the EXACT amount due, and if I want to pay more I do it in a seperate transaction.

I feel better!

I lost a good deal on a couple of tickets to Belize because of this same issue. (Not Capitial One) By the time I got it straightened out the opportunity had passed.

They told me I was "pre-approved", and then wanted all kinds of personal information. So I told them they were "Pre-rejected".

It's hard to "like" a cc, but at least my Cap 1 doesn't have a foreign transaction charge.
