I am planning on taking my Dad and Father-in-law on a trip either late Feb or early March. My idea of visiting Belize consists of whatever I can put in my back pack and a dive/snorkle bag to boot while sleeping in a hammock on the beach. The older gentleman in the group have more of a refined idea of accomodations. Any suggestions on a place that might have a beach front cabana that can sleep 4 between beds/couches/hammocks? Capricorn Resort seems to fit the bill. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I am going to AC for the first time in early Feb. and am staying at Coral Bay Villas. I know that it has a queen bed and queen size roll-out sofa...You would have to share though to fit 4 people in...They do have hammocks also and it seems nice with lots of space b/c you get a full size kitchen, dining, and living room also...It's a little over $100 if you book direct. Just a suggestion [Linked Image]

Jen has the right idea, except for the price I'd book two and be comfortable. That futon in the living rooom gets a bit rough just for one after a while.

Banyan Bay is also very nice, and has mostly 2 br condos, but they are just about 2x CBV. For my money having the convenience and privacy of two seperate unit would be, and has been, money well spent.

ONE.....check the lodging section of this website....there is a link at the top of this page.

You can sort thru all the different places and see pics and prices too.

You should be able to choose something that fits your needs. [Linked Image]

I would suggest Holiday Hotel. They are right on the beach and in town so you can walk to everything whenever you want. The people are very friendly and caring. After one visit they will seem like family. They have some rooms that are one step up from the beach that have 3 beds, 2 singles and one double. Holiday Hotel was the first hotel on AC. Celi's restaurant is on the beach side with half of the floor in the sand. The food is the best!
