The only time I{ve been lost so far, was shortly after I was attacked by two llamas in a row, at Machu Picchu. If you don{t believe me, about being attacked by the llamas, we actually have video footage that will be supplied later by another onthespot tourist reporter.

LM & I just back from a fabuloso dinner at most amazing restaurant in Cuzco. Of course, for LM, Jose is in the house. Seashell skipped the Jose tonight but did stop at mercado for a half bottle of wine. And here we are now on the internet . . .

But have to say adios, because vamanos a Lima manana.

OMG, what a fabulous place Peru is. South America is my new playground! Ate and drank and shopped like queens - Lima is unbelievable when it comes to food - inexpensive 5* meals, the people, the sights. Macchu Picu is a magical place. I gawked for hours at the ancient Inca city. Go South people!

I never did see Seashell after we landed in Houston this a.m., so if you see this SS, thanks for a great time and hope you had a safe trip back home from Houston. I'm so tired I cannot see straight - did that all really happen? lol

I'm still resting up. It was like a dream. Was I really there?

Laurie, sorry lost you in Houston. (there we were in separate Continental lounges, go figure)

Came home and slept for almost 24 hours in two bits. Spent the rest of the week wishing I could get a meal like I had in Lima.

Already doing research towards next trip(s). Where shall it be? When will it be? Can I leave this week??

South America, wow!! Don't be afraid you gang. Peru was awesome, awesome, awesome. People are fabulous, warm and friendly and curious. If you ask a question and they don't know the answer, they are so anxious to please, they will tell you something that is not quite correct, so you'll want to watch for that. LOL.

I'm tempted to go back. There is still so much more of that small country to see, and if any of it is even half as good as what I've experienced so far, then it will still be a magnificent trip.

P.S. to Laurie and maybe Travelqueen knows the answer to this . .

What is the policy for flight attendants when it comes to taking an alcoholic drink 1 hour prior to flight time? Is it always OK, or only when the non-drinking pilot of the flight is buying?

Laurie, remember that woman we saw having an apple-tini, purchased by the pilot you said looked like a Continental pilot? Yes, indeed you were correct, he was one of our flight crew . . .but the kicker is . . .she was one of the First Class flight attendants!

Good thing it wasn't the pilot!

I never really had time to soak it all up upon return, been running all over the State for work, its great to be home!

Didn't we have the most excellent time??!! Remember the train ride back from Aguas? The dancer scaring a scream out of me? The firefighter on the hillside in flip flops with his machete? The fashion show? The drunks on the side of the tracks waiting for the blockade to start? The stars in the sky during the scary ride back from the train to Cuzco? And that was only a few hours of our trip. OMG.

You know what I've been thinking about a lot? We should have done the paragliding in Lima!! We should have done it, doggone it!!

Paragliding looked very similar to parasailing, without the boat.

Next up is Cartegena or Buenos Aires!

So glad you had a great time there. I think Machu Pichu is one of the most amazing places I have ever been in the world. We got up one morning at sunrise and strolled alone thru these amazing ruins. Almost a religious experience.

Lovey and Thurston: I definitely agree with you and glad we spent a couple of days there - the first a guided tour to learn about the history and ruins, the second on our own, just to look and stroll. I sat on one of the terraces just taking it all in for about 2 hours with a woman from Italy - neither of us could speak the other's language, but every now and then, we would just look at each other and smile. The setting is more than stunning.

I am amazed at all the requests to see my photos. I hope some of you seriously consider going because you will not be sorry. Truly a once in a lifetime trip!
