I have searched and found info about duty shop and wine. So are all types of alcohol available at the duty free shop and is the quantity to bring in the same as on wine? 4 or 5 bottles?

Time flies when you are having rum!!!

The duty shop in the airport? You can buy them leaving the country but not coming in. You can leave with 4 bottles, I believe.

There is a new shop in the arrivals section of the airport so you can purchase bottles when you arrive. (Haven't seen it for myself yet) I think you're only allowed one bottle per person?

There is an incoming duty free shop which opened in January at the international airport. Limit is 6 bottles. Really great prices

We indeed used the duty free when we came into Belize. We used it again when we left. We left quit a bit of money there actually.
I dont recall the number we were allowed to bring into Belize, but we did bring 4 and 2 cartons of cigarettes. The cigarettes were the cheapest anywhere!
I would suggest you bring some wine/liquor in if you plan on drinking a lot. We spent plenty on drinks at the restuarants and bars and cinsumed all we bought at duty free!
Damn I wish I had my ass in the sand and toes in the water with a panty ripper in my hot little hand.

Oh that's right, duh. I purchased there upon my last trip down - $22 for Tanqueray. It's that one store just before you go through customs. I had to declare the bottle. I don't know how many bottles you can purchase but I noticed some people purchasing a few (3) or less.

Remember that if you're flying from BZE, you need to get all those bottles into your checked baggage. This might be a good reason to take the water taxi.....
