They're available in the States for $99, albeit with a two year contract. Assuming this isn't the very latest model.

so what was the point of stating what the price is for one in the US that requires a 2 year contract?

It may be cheap enough to buy and ignore (never use the contract). Sometimes happens in England.

Cellular Plus actually has the iphone for $1900. I believe they may have the iPod Touch for $1200. There are also some look a likes that are being sold. They aren't Apple Iphone's or Ipod's but they look similiar. Also, they will say it's "Factory Unlocked", but buyer beware that is not the case. It will re-lock if updated with iTunes. $99 is a good price in the States, but add the mandatory $30US a month and the $39.95 cheapest plan AT&T offers and you're looking at $1800 US over two years, not including tax. YIKES!!!! It's actually only $74+Tax a month in the U.S. which isn't exactly a bad price...but being that we are in Belize, who wants to waste $74 a month U.S.????

I was told that iphone can not be updated once they are unlocked. That Apple just shuts it down as soon as it realizes that the phone has been unlocked. Are you saying that this is not true for your phone? Thanks

No that is true. If you update the phone with iTunes it will re-lock. Not that it's detected by Apple but when it's updated the new firmware is loaded by default which locks the phone. Updates are not mandatory but if someone buys the phone and wants to update it I can update it for them without iTunes at no cost. I did mention before that if you accidentally lock the phone by updating it that I will unlock it once at no cost.

I know this all sounds like it's really technical but no updating with iTunes basically means clicking a button that says no whenever you connect the phone to iTunes to use the iPod function. So it's really not a big deal unless, of course, you click yes and update it on accident.

On a side note, I do also have a brand new in box iPhone 3G. But being that this one is brand new it sells at $2000 unlocked and ready for your BTL SIM card.
