I spoke to Ms. Idolly this am at Transport Office and was informed that it is only necessary to change your licence plates if they are rusty and difficult to read OR you only have one plate. She says you are NOT reguired to come in to change your plate if it says BZ and not SP.
And you have to hand in the old/current plates too - if they are lost, trashed or rusted to hell you have to go and make a police report and take a copy of the report to transport.
Hmm, I have 2 plates, neither are rusty and the traffic officers stopped me (4 of them) and said that I needed to get them changed to the SP designation.
Peter, you're right......we will not be back down until September or October and I have no idea if a have an "SP" or a "BZ"......I believe my license plate # is a five digit number.....don't you just love the BZ government!

LOANSUM- By the time you get back down here the whole thing will have blown over and be forgotten. Chances are there will still be BZ plates on the island years from now,
