Looking for advice on booking our flight w/Tropic Air. We arrive in Belize City at 2:45pm what time should I schedule our flight w/Tropic Air to San Pedro? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Half hour later is about right

The 15:40 flight should be perfect.

They operate primarily on a FIFO system, so if you get through early and they have a flight they will put you on it, or if you are late for any reason they will put you on the next one out. When an international flight lands they put on enough planes to cover - within reason - to get everyone out asap.

Don't worry if you are late due to weather,etc. Tropic is great about getting you to SP as long as you have a reservation. I've been down 3 times and they have never failed. Even once it was 5:30!!!!! Great customer service. I always reserve and pay at their site linked above.

The following statement appears on the Tropic Air website:

"Please ensure that your international flight's arrival time is at least 45 minutes before the departure time of your domestic flight."

Like they said, all of them. TA does a great job of getting you from BZE to SP. Just have a $5 handy to get baggage from one end of the BZE terminal to the other. Good folks helping you along. Its your intro to Belize time, and we always enjoy it!

Thanks guys for all the good advice. I think i'm going to try to book the 15:40 flight to AC. That should give us enough time I would think.

If you are planning to take a flight back to BZE on your return, book a round trip now, it will save you some money. Be sure you arrive at BZE two hours before your International flight departs

Just a quick note. We arrived at 6:10 once (that was after clearing customs) and Tropic still got us to the island because they knew we were coming. They are really, really good for not abondoning anyone in Belize City. The only time it ever happened that we had to stay in the city was when there were torrential rainfalls in January and NO one was flying out to the Island.
