Journey's End was perfect for a wedding in our family last November.

Get a planner for certain. Where are you having the ceremony. The planner can apply to have the reception right there on the beach with tents band bar tables chairs etc, it's a fairly common occurance but has quite a few logistical issues that definately need local coordination. In short you are not restricted to a bar or restaurant although it is also a good option.

Rojo would be a great choice. Another poster recommended Journey's end, however they have closed down.

Do you mean closed permanently? Or for the slow season only....

We opened Las Terrazas last year as the newest resort on Ambergris Caye. Las Terrazas is uniquely modern and uses all of the same operations, tours, and scuba diving facilities as does Journey's End Resort. Many recent guests to Journey's End Resort have probably seen the beautifully manicured grounds of Las Terrazas, which is just a few hundred feet down the beach from Journey's End Resort.

We apologize for this temporary inconvenience but are excited about the modernization plans we have in store for Journey's End. As the renovation progresses, we will post periodic updates on this website.

In the meantime, please give Las Terrazas a look. We are sure you will agree that the handsomely appointed guest townhouses, the clean architectural lines, and the manicured grounds and beachfront will give any guest a luxurious vacation at a price that will be hard to beat. And don’t worry … shoes are optional at Las Terrazas as well.

The beach at Jourey's End is still being used as a venue for weddings. It's being kept nicely groomed.
