Hi all!! I'm moving to Belize from fla. with my pets... two german sheperds. The male is rather large 125lbs. I'm trying to find a way to get them there that is safe and cheap. The pet movers services want as much as $600 to $800 for one dog. the airline wants $500 for the big dog and i have to transport him to miami to board. I found a freighter going to big creek but they aren't leaving until April. My financee is already there running our parasail business and I'd like to get there soon. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks to all who respond. signed, yvonne

Can you find someone who is driving down?
Maybe you can hitch a ride that will take your dogs (of course you will go with them)
Or drive them down yourself (with a guide)
Paying $500 to $800 is very very high price to pay but it does depend on how much you love your pets.
If it were me I'd pay the cost but I'm Weird about my dogs. Love those German Shepards. They are my dog of choice.
Good luck in getting them down to be with you.

Thanks Marty for the reply... I've thought about driving them down. I guess by the time you add up gas hotel stay guide and all then flying is the best route to take. Less stress on them. I just wanted to make sure I covered all the bases. I love my dogs and don't want to take any chances with thier health or happiness. Thanks again for your time...yvonne
