Go green means "natural", right? I'm just wondering if there are any compounding pharmacies in Belize. Can you get natural bio-dentical hormones there?

There are a couple of health food stores on the mainland. I had contact info for one but cannot seem to find their business card at the moment.

I think there is only one health food store left, in Belmopan. The Green Dragon one in San Ignacio closed a while ago.

There is a health-food store (not a compounding pharmacy tho) in Belize City. It's adjacent to an auto supply store - across from the City Center Auditorium, over the bridge from Save-U. Good prices and a nice array of vitamins, teas, dried herbs, etc. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name - it's not hard to find if you get to the area. The owner is very well informed.

Can someone explain the term "compounding pharmacy" to a Brit? We don't use that term there. I believe I can guess what it is, but I'd like to be sure.

the physician will order several medications and strengths, not pill form,then the pharmacist needs to have the chemicals to do the mixture. It is like a salve if that helps explain it to a Brit
