elbert	Jane I'm guessing (there are so many orchids) its a Gongora unicolor. did you take it on the Northern river trip to Lamani? Its hard to tell until they bloom. was it in the mangroves along the river edge? ScubaLdy	Beautiful airplant in the mangroves (If you know what it is email me) Photograph by Jane West Elbert is really the expert and how dare I second guess him but I'm thinking it is in the Bromelia family. sweetjane	LOL i didnt even know it got posted...thx marty! not a bad shot considering the boat was moving. i took that up river, yes, at river's edge, but on way to altun ha last feb. marty wrote the text, not me. my original text on my photo site had read: "a mangrove something-or other"!
