Picked this up on another message board...

It seems that eating lionfish is good for the male "ego". Puts lead in your pencil, so to speak. It also appears that eating grouper has the opposite effect. So if you see one of these nasties, fry it up and eat it. You and your partner will both be glad you did.

Remember this......

Lionfish = Saturn V Rocket ready for blastoff!
Grouper = Wilted Willie

Here's a little help preparing your delicacy:

Fried, Bahamian Style

Lionfish meat
Lime wedges
Favorite dip
Prepare the fish by lightly washing/lightly scoring and patting dry.
Prepare Bahamian style marinade of lime juice, sour orange juice, garlic, goat pepper, salt and pepper
Prepare the fish by lightly washing and patting dry.
Heat oil.
Coat fish in flour and cornstarch mix.
Fry fish until lightly golden.
Serve with favorite dip and lime wedges.

funny you should ask that (should be a photo with this but I'll have to see if I can post it:

Goat Pepper Mash

We searched the Carribean to find a farmer who would grow goat peppers for our Pepperfire Initiative! All the way from Central Haiti, we are proud to bring you Pepperfire Goat Pepper Mash!

Immediate, direct, extremely hot, with a rich sweet fruity flavour. Fresh Haitian Goat Peppers crushed in freshly squeezed lime juice.

These peppers come to us fresh, when our grower can get to the Port au Prince airport safely! You can taste the freshness! And you thought it was difficult getting Goat Peppers out of the Bahamas?

You'll love this mash! Use in recipes when you want to add heat without changing the flavour. One teaspoon = one Goat Pepper.

Heat Level: 10

I'll never be able to look at a grouper sandwich the same way again!! frown
When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.

The way around your dilemma is to use horny goat weed instead of lettuce on the sandwich. smile
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.
