We are staying at Costa Maya Reef in mid-September and wondered: Can we walk from Costa Maya Reef resort to town along the beach? How long would it take? We may purchase weekly passes for the water taxi, but thought it would be nice to walk the beach to town one day.

6.7 miles to town, hell of a long walk. Passes can be purchased at Island Ferry on the dock in front of Fido's

Last Feb. I was charged $75 per week pp for unlimited rides w/the Island Ferry. I was @ Costa Maya also. Some of the resorts closer are less.
