We have no intention of leaving Belize and hope we never have to. The area we are looking to buy I have over 40 relatives on my Hawaiian side of the family, plus 2 children and two grandchildren, takes only 5 hours to fly there, got to face it when the day comes that you cant ride a bicycle anymore this is a tuff place to live.We are going up to try again, my son will live it the house, we will have a room for when we visit. Heres a real crazy story..my mother in laws house just sold, her husband built it 65 yrs ago, walls are nothing more than plywood,electric wiring out of code, using those old glass fuses,no foundation, termite rot, no septic, just a hose and a hole with a plastic tarp on top..and this in in a neighborhood.we had no expectations of it selling and the Bank loaned on it with the buyer only putting 20% down....go figure....

If you are trying to buy in Hawaii i under stand.China is buying the best of the best.but there are places in the US they don't want.I have a very good friend in Florida tried to get me to buy a condo on the gulf,srounded on 3 sides by water,my own dock etc.Were selling for 350-400k three years ago,65-90k now,and they were new,never been lived in?????bad moon rising!!!!
