We're about to book a stay at Mata Chica ... is it too far from town and should we care?

Marco,

We just returned last Friday from a week long stay at Mata Chica. It was one of the most wonderful places I've ever stayed and I would return in a heartbeat! Mata Chica is a bit isolated from the rest of the island. There are no roads (to my knowledge) near the resort, so you will need to catch a "water taxi" to get to town. Mata Chica makes runs twice daily to town (at no cost) or you can
hire the Island Ferry to bring you.

We chose to stay at Mata Chica to escape the hussle & bustle of city life here at home.
I've never felt so relaxed!

It's easy to go into "town" if you want to and then retreat into paradise back at Mata Chica! The restaurant and staff at the resort are amazing. The food was fantastic -- it's one of the best restaurants on the island. You'll be so glad it's at your disposal!

Have Fun!
