I used to work in management in a corporate sort of environment. In that capacity I was sent to a series of "seminars" (IMHO time wasting expensive meetings with Tony Robbins types) on everything from team-building to sales.
I particularly remember one that was about three personality types of customers - the entire model was Star Trek - Kirk, McCoy and Spock were considered archetypes. Since I did not have to pay for this seminar I actually sat back and had little fun with it. Did it mean anything to sales in our company? Nope - but it clearly sold seats at seminars.
