Last year towards the end of October..AA had a 37 dollar sale to Belize. I booked 4 trips at different times for the year. Just finished my last trip. A friend who works for AA told me that will go in effect probably sometime in October again for a day or two sale. Watch Watch. If I see it I will post.

As I recall, the cheap fares on American were out of Continental's hub cities of Houston and Newark. So, it was a bit of a hassle, you flew from Houston to Miami to Belize City.

But, the prices were so low, it was definitely worth the hassle.

I caught an AA sale from SFO-DFW-BZE for $327 (booked in May for July trip). So, I think it depends on how fast you jump on fare sales to grab the best routes.

I did pay 37.00 each way from Houston. Going I went Houston to Dallas to Belize. Coming home Belize to Miami to Houston. Hassle worth it for that price. I bought the tix on Oct 16. I bought 4 roundtrip tickets for a total of 525.00. I went first in March for a week, May for a week, July a few days and Sept.
I plan on buying 5 trips this year if I get jump on that price again. Im like a cat ready to pounce LOL..My name is Donna and I am a addict LOL.

last year we got february vacation boston, ny, miami, belize for around 250. July 340 rt now cant see anything below 600.00 for the same weeks. I hope this comes true we need a fix!

i flew down on american in june, thanks to donna...flew out of houston up to dallas...had an overniter in dallas on return flight...143.10 r/t!

i find that the best times to catch some cheaper fares are in the wee hours of the morning on a tues. or wed...around 3 am...i've had my best luck at those times

we paid around 360-ish 3 times from philly last year on sales - now 660-770 regardless of day, time or layovers. that's one reason we ended up in costa rica last week - tix are HALF the cost to CR as tix to Bz.

we told a friend we'd come for a milestone birthday....and $730 pp from philly!!! c'mon, BTB - how in the heck are we regular folks supposed to get to belize??????? (grr if not for the birthday we'd go back to costa rica at half the cost...)

of the cost of our trip in February is Flts/room/Cart = $2800 and I haven't even had a beer yet!!

You can add another $100 to that fare if you're flying from California.........last year R/T for 2 was $1240. I don't see airfare going down for quite awhile. I'm just going to have to get used to it.

If you can manage a couple extra days, fly into Cancun and take the bus down. Makes for a long day, but spend the night in Chetumal and arrive in San Pedro the next morning, rested and ready to party.

I got an email today about the American Airlines sale . . . if that's a sale!!!! Well, I dunno what their idea of a sale is, but I sure am glad that I've already purchased any tickets I have need for in the next few months.
