Funnily enough I came across no signs of it at all, in four distinct areas of the UK

I just received an email from a friend in Lancashire who is recovering from it. Heard from three other friends in various parts of UK with it during this last month.

Yes it has been very widespread in the UK. I know many people who have had it over last couple of months.
We have to remember, that so far it has proved to be less harmful than regular flu so should be kept in perspective.

Yeah...I feel the same. A lot of talk of scary flu...but no scary flu.

I was in CC last year for the first 2 weeks of Oct. and I thought I had swine flu......................................but come to find out ...I was just suffering from 2 week long hangover brought on by being a pig with all the booze!!!!!!!!

Just out of curiosity, how did AC and CC fare last flu season? Also, do the numbers of flu cases decrease in the summer just like in the states?

On AC there is relatively little true flu - the locals often say they have the flu but it is usually a cold. The children that attend Well Baby clinic are given the regular flu shot. The medical, custom, police staff on the island did get the H1N1 vaccine.
