I am heading to Belize November 23rd. my daughter is there volunteering and will join me the 26th. I plan to be in Placencia 3 nights before I meet her in San Ignacio. where is a good medium priced place to stay, close to the airport and town in Placencia, with good beach?

then we go to S Ignacio, and would appreciate same suggestions for there (minus the beach of course)3 nights here as well - also, how easy is it to get around with all these changes of area?

finally we go to Caye Caulker where we are staying at Caye Reef. then back to Belize city for our flight out December 3rd. any suggestions or help would be most appreciated. thanks, R

Hi, I haven't been to Placenica for about 5 years, but will be there in November for a few nights. Check out www.seasprayhotel.com. This hotel is centrally located, on the beach and I have heard good things about it. I recall that the airstrip in Placenica is not near any hotels and it is necessary to take a taxi into town.

For San Ignacio, I recommend Cahal Pech up on the hill above the town.
