A little bird told me that Derrek, the fantastic talented young bass player that many of you have enjoyed playing at BC's, Canucks and and other venues around San Pedro, desperately needs new bass strings. He needs both 5 and 6 string sets. If anyone is coming down, enjoys the local bands, likes to encourage talented young people and has the time or inclination to pick up some bass strings, you would be bloody marvelous.

If you don't know what type of strings Derrek likes, may I suggest Rotosound bass strings. I like the "Jazz 77" series. They cost a little more, but they sound wonderful and in my experience last longer too. If I were going down (I wish!) that's what I would bring him, one bass player to another. I'm sure he would love them.

I'm sure he would too Mister B. I'm sure he'd appreciate any decent strings to be honest but someone like you, who knows what they are talking about, would be able to really make him happy I'm sure.
