For those who don't mind the extra work to get to SP from Cancun, Alaskan Airlines has LAX to Cancun 278 R/T. Of course there are restrictions, but if you are close to LAX looks like a great deal. Good until March 17. Alaskan has other city deals to Cancun, but I didn't check those out.

I checked it from Palm Springs to Cancun trying to help you out Bob, but nothing as good as the LAX-Can run.
