I am going to be visitng Caye Caulker, starting December 30 2009, and ending mid-June 2010.
I need a suite/apartment/house to rent. I'm not interested in typical tourist accommodation.
I have always been a fan of local "business hotels" and simple furnished apartments.
Fans will do rather than AC.
A shower is just fine.
A small kitchen(ette) would be great.
My friends and family are all eager to come visit, so 2 bedrooms would be perfect. (or beds for 4)
I am more than happy to be a long walk away from the amenities... in fact, my MD is insistent!
I am rather limited as to cost. ($500 US$ maximum monthly)

You could try The Ocean Pearl Royale, they have a couple of small cabanas with a kitchenette and 2 bedrooms that they rent by the month. I don't know what Getraud charges for a 6 month lease. They are located up near the split just around the corner from the principal of the Ocean Academy. Jessie at the Real MacCaw also has some apartments she rents on back street.
