Thanks to the combined efforts of Google and the Italian Ministry of Culture, it is now possible to visit Pompeii without even leaving your house. The city was exactly 1930 years ago (this year) covered with volcanic ashes. When you want to visit the 2000 year old virtual streets on Google Street View, click here.
