looking to buy a Kayak. Moving to island in January. North end, looking to kayak to/from town sometimes just for a workout/fun. Mainly need it to get out to the reef to snorkel. Besides that I don't really know what Im looking for, maybe interested in 1 or 2 seater. Smaller the better probably... anyone selling or know where I can buy one?

Or any experienced kayakers have suggestions?

thanks guys!

AC

Captain Sharks (west of the airport near Maya Air terminal) usually has one or two new ones in stock, sometimes single sometimes double.

Ask someone because it may be upstairs.

Just sold my Ocean Kayak Frenzy which is a great model for here (single seater). Sharks has them for $2400BZ if I recall correctly.

Smaller is only better for storage and carrying it. Longer and streamlined is faster.

Hmmm, now you say that when I can't race you.

You are correct though, length of waterline has a direct impact on speed.

Simon come on up to TBR we have enough kayaks that you can have your pick so that you don't have excuses afterward! smile Did I mention that I was on the Canadian Jr Whitewater team?
