It came back on about 7 p.m. and while not having power sucked, the stars were lovely just after sunset. Let's hope this fixes the power outage problem on Caye Caulker especially during holidays.
'Let's hope this fixes the power outage problem on Caye Caulker especially during holidays." Funny. they have not stopped the outages through all the changes from the day 35 years ago when the power was first installed. I asked Jimmy, the first power guy, why the power was only a few hours a day at first and he told me the people only wanted power a couple hours in the morning and afternoons. None at night. They improved it a lot after the hurricane. They felt it would not have any more problems so they took the office and most workers to San Pedro. That is why we have so many outages and will not stop until a larger maintenance crew is maintained here.
