heard of an express coach from cancun to belize. anybody know of it and what it's called?

So far, there is no single bus from Cancun to Belize. All the Mexican buses terminate at Chetumal, and passengers must change to a Belizean bus line or Linea Dorada or San Juan.

The Mexican bus company ADO is seeking approval to operate into Belize.

I have been to Xcalac recently (ghost town) but it was by car and not bus. I remember seeing the destination listed in the bus station in Playa though, so at least 1 bus a day travels to and from. I don't think there is any regularly scheduled boat travel between Xcalac and San Pedro. The San Pedro Belize Express had said they were adding that leg to their Chetumal run, but so far that hasn't happened.

Does anybody have the website of the new high speed ferry service from San Pedro to Chetumal? I heard about it when I was there earlier in the month. I think it started Jan 8 or 9. From what I heard from Charles at Estel's it will have a Belizian Customs agent on board so no hassles with immigration and a much faster ride to the island.

The San Pedro – Belize Water Taxi Company provides a service between San Pedro (Belize) and Chetumal (Mexico) on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

The water taxi departs from the Ambergris Divers Dock in San Pedro at 7:15 am, and departs from the Main Pier (near the Palacio Gobierno) in Chetumal at 3:00pm.
