Hi All,
Anyone ever stay at Ramons? It's kind of pricey but it sounds really nice. Is it worth the money?

We have stayed at Ramon's 12 or 13 times. Every time gets better. The staff is great and will do anything for you. The bar is great also. If you do decide to stay there get a beach from cabana #50 or 60. Those are the nicest and located in a good part of the hotel. I am sure other places there are just as nice but just have not tried them because we have always felt comfortable at Ramon's.

Sorry, that shoud read " get a beach front cabana", not, "get a beach from cabana".

Just got back last week from 7 nights at Ramon's and just loved it. Stayed in beach front cabana #32, which was beautiful. It's the upstairs part of the cabana, and waking up to the thatched roof every morning was great. It had a refrigerator and coffeemaker too.

Loved to walk down Ramon's pier in the evenings with a couple of dinner rolls and a flashlight to feed the fish. Ramon was really cool - he came by our table several mornings at breakfast to chat, and showed us his photo album of the damage to the resort after the hurricane (completely fixed now).

The only drawback we could find is that the resort is right across the street from the airstrip, and the planes start flying around 6:30 a.m. Even so, we'll stay there again.

I love it there and the restaurant is one of the better ones on the island. The belikens at night solve any early planes flying overhead. Never ever heard one! Can't have a better location and swimming off the pier is genius. You know the old saying, "You get what you pay for."

sryukon1,

Did you happen to see the inside of any of the downstairs beachfront units at Ramon's? We're staying there in May and I'm wondering if I should request an upstairs room since you were so happy with it. Do you know if all the rooms are air conditioned?

Anybody else have any comments on this? I've heard from lots of people that Ramon's isnt worth the price. What do you think?

Downstairs beach front are great. Request 59 or 60. Both have king size bed, dresser, round table and are air conditioned. You will not need the A/C. THe breeze at night is wonderful. You may even need a light blanket before morning. They have small patios with chairs to sit and watch the people walk up and down the beach. Have a great time!

Oh, and price depends on what you want. Ramon's is worth every penny. That's only my opinion.

I remember seeing a layout map of Ramons with room numbers and such labeled online somewhere. It's not on Ramon's website. I should have bookmarked it but I didnt.

Does anyone know where that map can be found?
