Where is the global warming? There was ice in the water and on shore at Galveston Island yesterday.
There is something wrong about that! LOL

The tide went out last night farther than I've see it go in all the years I've been living here. It was spooky.
I though GW was going to make the oceans rise??

The wind from the back last night was pretty impressive too ..... missed the super low tide event, was it after dark? Will give a look tonight. I noticed on the forecast that it's supposed to be even colder tomorrow than today.
My recent house-guests went diving (with Elbert). They commented that the water is still quite warm (far warmer than the air) and that they thoroughly enjoyed their dives.

I guess that low-low tide was also the product of this very high-pressure system that has us freezing our buns off?

I do hope the resorts are chaining up the kayaks today. Strong winds blowing unsuspecting kayakers towards the reef (and thereafter to Jamaica) instead of carrying them gently to shore is not a pretty picture.

been doing the weather 15 years and can't remember it much colder that this, especially in the hills on the mainland (47).

The sun is shining and sky is fairly clear - get out in the sun, out of the wind and it is glorious! And we can get warmed up before the big chill tonight.
