I was wondering if anyone had any information or opinions about the Costa Maya Reef Resort or the Belize Academy of Diving.

Belize Academy of Diving is a very good dive shop the owner gives first rate service and his staff are also top rate.

But is the place still opened??????????????

It was still very much open and nearly full as recently as a week ago yesterday.

IS IT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC OR ARE THEY JUST TIME SHARE PEOPLE ??ARE THEY STILL SELLING TIME SHARE THERE ,NOT THAT I WOULD EVER WANT ONE,JUST CURIOUS?? BUT THE STREETS IN SANPEDRO WAS AT ONE TIME FILLED WITH TIME SHARE HAWKERS TRYING TO HUSTLE FOR FOLKS TO GO LOOK AT THAT PLACE ,HAVE NOT SEEN THEM OUT IN QUITE A WHILE.GUESS NO MORE VICTIMS LEFT ..LOL LOL

murdad ~ what would you like to know about Costa Maya Reef Resort? We stay there every year and truly enjoy the peace and quiet up there, we always get the unlimited ferry pass, so that we can go back and forth to town as much as we want. If you have any particular questions ask and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge!

We stayed at Costa Maya Reef in September and it was wonderful..the staff is very accomodating...friendly resort...very kid friendly...they couldn't do enough to make our first time in Belize the best...fishing with Tony and Rony was wonderful too...we got the unlimited ferry pass and had no problems getting back and forth to town.

I was wondering if the resort was still open and i see that it is.thats a great start.here are a few other questions.how are the kitchens in the suites?are the kayaks in good shape? is it easy to paddle out to Mexico Rocks to snorkel? how much does it cost to go fishing and what might you hope to catch? are the weekly water taxi deals always available and how much do they cost? hows the food at the resort restaurant? i guess thats it for now. thanks a ton for helping us plan our next trip to belize. we spent 3 weeks on CC last winter and can not wait to get back!

The stove has 4 burners, there isn't an oven, but there is a microwave, also an electic skillet/toaster/coffee maker/dishes, full size refridgerator. Plenty of cupboard & drawer space. The kayaks are in very good shape, and it's not too bad paddling out to Mexico Rocks. The activity director will show you how to get on/off in deep water. I use a particular person for fishing, so not sure about rates at resort. Last yr. I pd. US $75 pp for unlimited water taxi rides. The food at the restuarant is very good, don't think I've had anything I didn't like. When are you going? My hubby and I are looking for a couple to share a fishing trip. We arrive in San Pedro on the 10th and @ Costa Maya the 13th for a week.
