Hi Fishermac,

My husband and I returned a couple weeks ago and he too enjoys a nice cigar every now & then. I'd say he paid anywhere from $6 to $12 American for them. They (cigars) were available from a bunch of the little stores right in town. You might have to ask to see them if they don't have them sitting out in plane sight. Sorry I don't remember any of the names of the stores. Oh, you can also get them at Fido's. Just ask one of the bartenders if you can see their selection. One nice thing, you don't have to worry about them drying out on you there. My husband had one for about three days and one got left out in the golf cart overnight and was still moist as can be. Enjoy and have a great time.

Many of the bars have cigars, but you will have to enjoy them there as most are Cuban and will cause you no end of trouble if US Customs find them in your luggage. Hope this ends soon Cuba could be a great place to (legally) travel. Of course if you are from Canada (or any other country) none of this applys to you.. Enjoy one for me..

My husband brought a few home. We just packed them in our luggage. Didn't try to hide them either, just packed'em so they wouldn't get smashed. And no questions, no problems. Not saying this is the norm, just wasn't a problem for us.
