I had one of my boats stolen a couple of years ago from 5 miles north we found it in Xcalak might be worth a trip there to look around, its only 45 minutes so could be well worth the effort to get it back

A boat like that sticks out and I think they went north rather than south

Good luck

Sorry to hear about your boat. Posting a photo of it may help and don't forget to get photos to all the tour companies and fishermen who are out on the water every day.

Good Luck!

Hope you find your boat, although it will probably be light one outboard. Just curious, can you get an effective insurnace policy for theft and accidents without breaking the bank in Belize? None the less it would still be a real pisser to have your boat "misplaced"

Posts like these re-enforce my desire to put a long term hibernjating gps tracker on all of the assets when I finally move down to paradise in a few years (golf cart, dog, rum bottle). Already have one stashed in my boat hull, and another under each motor cowl. If I "forget" where the boat was left, I call the company and they send a signal to each unit turning it on, it can then be tracked by each unit, so even if the motors are lifted and separated from my hull unless they notice the trackers (not likely) the units will be found. You can get these for international service as well.

Not cheap, but still only about one tenth the price of a single outboard, or 2% of total investement overall. Also gets me a nice insurance break, payback basically in 4.5 years. Already lost one boat a couple years ago, will never happen again.
