What's that old saying "when good men do nothing?"
And why say "It's their island?" Who is they?
I do love the history of how the people who consider themselves TRUE San Pedroneans "inherited" the land. The way some are selling their inheritance makes me wonder how much they love the island. I keep hearing about where they plan to go when they retire. Now, don't get me wrong; I left the USA when I retired - and for good reason. Now I consider this island my home and feel responsible for protecting it. AND I am responsible to stand up for what is right and decent.
I moved to San Francisco in 1957 and soon learned that NOBODY was born there. In 1964 I gave birth to my daughter in one of the few hospitals there. To this day the "Immigrants" far out number the natives and everyone who lives there (whether they pay taxes or not) gets to vote.
The strangest word I hear here is TRANSPARENCY. Things are so transparent that they can not even be seen.
