Much development is still taking place on the northern part of the island, with new resorts and condos going up and many upgrading their facilities to compete with the new ones. Immediately crossing the bridge you will notice the large billboard sign that has been erected at the foot of the bridge. It's another of Ramon's Village's decorative signs that are going up around the island as part of their new marketing campaign.

And this beautifully colored building is Reef Village's new Paradise Theatre, not yet open to the public but clearly visible from across the bridge.
While delivering up north, the staff of Ambergris Today enjoys the views at Reef Village

Standardized outdoor advertising on the island! What next? A Burger King with 24-hour drive-up?!

San Pedro, I hardly know ye anymore.

That is one massive sign - a bit too big.

Huge, but not as intrusive as the flat screen in front of Orange by Tropic. THAT one is just wrong

That one flashes "Jesus Love You" to the new arrivals..
Hedrick is way overboard with plastering the town with his signs.

It is truly horrible. I am back and forth to the city and every time I fly in and see that sign, I get mad.

Decorative is not exactly the word I would use.

Think we should all start a rumor that the steel poles used for the billboards make excellent pier pilings and lobster habitats. Oh yeah and don't forget the flashing lighted signs make excellent underwater fish attractors too....
